We are LaPeNu.
We bring you clean personal care — certified organic, natural, pure — crafted in France by artisan producers, family businesses, and independent makers rooted in their regions for generations. From seed to bottle.

Our producers are committed. And so are we.
Not just to certifications, but to traditions. To controlled origins. To the kind of trust that doesn't need a marketing budget.

Our products are clean.
Certified by independent bodies to the highest standards in France and Europe. Some of our artisan partners don't carry end-product certifications on top of their certified ingredients — because their customers have trusted them for decades, and the quality speaks for itself. We'll always tell you which is which.

We show our work.
Every product page tells you what's certified, by whom, and to what standard. If an ingredient is certified but the finished product isn't — we say so, and we explain why. No fine print. No "natural-inspired" language. If we don't know something, we say that too.

We source exclusively from producers we've vetted directly. We try to visit. We ask hard questions. We walk away if something doesn't feel right — even if the product is exceptional. Our relationship with each producer is ongoing, not transactional.

Certifications we work with include Ecocert, COSMOS Organic, AB (Agriculture Biologique), Nature & Progrès, and controlled origin labels — the same rigorous framework behind designations like Champagne. Where relevant, we list the certifying body directly on the product page.

What "from seed to bottle" actually means: we trace each product back to its source — the plant, the region, the harvest method. Not as a marketing phrase, but as a standard we hold our producers to. If we can't trace it, we don't sell it.

Our prices are honest.
We don't inflate prices to make discounts look impressive. We don't run artificial sales. What you see is what it costs — French artisan quality, plus the real costs of bringing it to Germany properly. The more you trust us, the better it gets.

We ship with care.

We are strict about returns — and honest about why.
A 10g essential oil can represent hundreds of hours of human work and tons of natural resources. Without preservatives, a moment of heat can destroy its benefits. We can't resell returned products. We don't track you. Full stop.
No cookies that follow you across the web. No pixel tracking. No behavioral profiling. We don't sell your data, share it, or trade it — not now, not ever.

This costs us. Every growth tool, every marketing platform, every review widget we've looked at comes with a data clause buried in the fine print. We've said no to all of them. That means we grow slower. We're fine with that.

We're also transparent about what we can't fully control — the platform we build on, payment processors, delivery partners. We'll always tell you what data they require and why. We don't contact you unless you ask us to.
If you don't subscribe to our newsletter, we don't reach out — no welcome email, no reminders, no "we miss you." Silence is a valid choice and we respect it completely. If you do subscribe, we write to you no more than twice a month. Always with something worth reading. Never to fill a calendar.

lapenu.de and lapenu.com — nowhere else. No marketplaces. No social media. No influencer deals.

Not because we can't. Because we won't. Marketplaces take commissions we'd have to hide in your prices. Social media platforms are built on manipulation — of attention, of vanity, of what you think you need.

Influencer deals are paid opinions dressed as recommendations. Most "best of" press lists and annual brand roundups work the same way — different format, same invoice.

We don't pay for any of it, and we don't play by those rules.
