Renowned for its anti-bruising and regenerating properties, it has been used since Antiquity in skincare and traditional remedies throughout the Mediterranean basin.
• Originating primarily from Corsica, Italy, or Croatia, this rare and powerful oil is particularly sought after for its effectiveness in natural cosmetics, aromatherapy, and post-traumatic care. Its warm, herbaceous, and slightly honeyed scent evokes the garrigue and the Mediterranean sun, and reflects its richness in active molecules such as italidiones.

✨ Botanical Portrait of Italian Helichrysum

• Italian Helichrysum, Helichrysum italicum, belongs to the Asteraceae family. It is a typically Mediterranean perennial plant that grows wild on dry, sunny, often rocky soils. It forms small shrubs reaching up to 60 cm in height, with fine stems and narrow leaves of a characteristic silvery grey. In summer, it is covered with small golden yellow flowers.
• This plant is particularly rich in esters (neryl acetate) and ketones (italidiones), responsible for its remarkable circulatory and restorative effects.

✨ Extraction Process of Organic Italian Helichrysum Essential Oil

• Italian Helichrysum essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the flowering tops, harvested at the height of summer bloom. This traditional process preserves the full range of the plant's aromatic compounds without altering them.
• The flowers are placed in a still and traversed by steam. Under the effect of heat, the aromatic molecules are released, then condensed and separated to yield a pure and powerful essential oil as well as a high-quality hydrosol.
• Its yield is low — on average between 800 kg and 1,200 kg of Italian Helichrysum flowers are needed to produce 1 kg of essential oil.
