Organic Blue Gum Eucalyptus Essential Oil (Eucalyptus globulus)

1,8-Cineole — Eucalyptol

The dominant molecule, making up ~63–80% of the oil. It is responsible for most of the oil's core actions:

💡 Usage Recommendations

Skin Application — Dilute 5–20% eucalyptus globulus essential oil in a pure vegetable oil and apply to the back, chest, or neck depending on the concern (respiratory support, muscle relief, or skin care).

Skin Application — Insect Repellent — Blend 1 drop of eucalyptus globulus essential oil with 1 drop of Java citronella essential oil in 4 drops of vegetable oil. Apply to exposed areas of the body before going outdoors.

Massage — Dilute 3–5% in a carrier oil (e.g. sweet almond or jojoba) and massage into the chest, back, or along the spine to support respiratory comfort and ease muscle tension.

Compress — Add 3–5 drops to a bowl of warm or cool water, soak a cloth, wring it out, and apply to the affected area (chest, forehead, or joints) for 10–15 minutes.

Inhalation — Pour 5 drops into a bowl of hot water. Lean over the bowl, cover your head with a towel, and inhale the steam for 5–10 minutes, 2–3 times a day. Particularly effective for chest congestion and sinus relief.

Diffusion — Use in an ultrasonic or cold-air diffuser to purify the air and support respiratory wellness. Eucalyptus globulus is more potent than eucalyptus radiata — dilute with grapefruit essential oil (20% eucalyptus to 80% grapefruit) for a more balanced blend. Diffuse in 30-minute intervals.

Ingestion — Pour 2 drops onto a teaspoon of honey, olive oil, or a cane sugar cube. Place under the tongue, 3 times a day. Only under the guidance of a qualified aromatherapist.

Cosmetic Ingredient — Incorporate into blends, creams, shampoos, or eau de toilette formulations. Can also be used to naturally scent homemade laundry detergent or household cleaning products.
