• Rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid, borage seed oil is renowned for its regenerative properties. It firms and softens the skin. As an antioxidant, it is also recommended for anti-aging skincare.

• The skin on the face is protected by the regenerating, toning, and softening properties of borage seed oil. This oil helps combat free radicals, which are responsible for the aging of skin cells. Soothed and softened, the skin regains its elasticity and suppleness. This oil also prevents dehydration by protecting the skin’s hydrolipidic film.

💡 Usage Recommendations

Skin application — Apply a few drops to clean, dry skin and massage gently until fully absorbed. Particularly effective on the face, neck, décolleté, and areas prone to dryness, loss of firmness, or fine lines. Can be used pure or blended with other vegetable oils.

Massage — Use as a massage oil applied directly to the skin. Blend with complementary vegetable oils if desired to adjust texture. Suitable for body massage targeting areas of tension or skin dryness.

Capillary (hair & scalp) — Apply a few drops to the lengths and tips of dry or damaged hair. Leave on for at least 30 minutes as a nourishing mask before shampooing, or use as a finishing serum on dry hair ends. Particularly suited to dry, brittle, thin, or damaged hair.

Nail application — Massage a drop into each nail and surrounding cuticle to nourish, strengthen, and protect brittle or damaged nails.

Cosmetic ingredient — Incorporate into homemade cosmetic formulations (creams, serums, balms) as an active vegetable oil. Recommended usage rate: 5–30% of the total formula, depending on the desired richness and target skin concern.

✨ FOR THE BODY

💪 Nourishing oil for dry skin: Mix

• 30 ml of apricot kernel oil,
• 35 ml of borage oil,
• 35 ml of avocado oil,
• 30 drops of bourbon geranium essential oil,
• 20 drops of rosewood essential oil,
• 10 drops of vitamin E.

Apply to cleansed skin.

💪 Firming beauty oil: Mix

• 30 ml of hemp seed oil,
• 35 ml of borage oil,
• 35 ml of wheat germ oil,
• 20 drops of grapefruit essential oil,
• 20 drops of cypress essential oil,
• 10 drops of vitamin E.

Massage the areas to be treated thoroughly in the evening (as grapefruit is photosensitizing) until the oil is absorbed.

✨ FOR THE FACE

💪 Glow-boosting face mask: Mix

• 50 g of red clay,
• 30 ml of rose hydrosol,
• 16 drops of isocide,
• 3 ml of borage oil,
• 5 drops of rosewood essential oil,
• 5 drops of tea tree essential oil,
• 5 drops of vitamin E.

Mix vigorously until you obtain a smooth paste. Apply in the evening to cleansed skin. Leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse.

💪 Moisturizing and regenerating gel: Pour

• 45 ml of orange blossom hydrosol into a bowl and add
• 10 drops of isocide.
• Sprinkle 0.5 g of xanthan gum in a fine stream over the hydrosol,
• then mix vigorously for 1 minute.
• Then stir every 15 to 20 minutes until all lumps have disappeared.
• Finally, add 10 ml of borage oil,
• 5 drops of ylang-ylang essential oil,
• 4 drops of vitamin E.

Apply to your face in the morning on cleansed skin.

💪 Nail repair lotion: Mix

• 5 ml of borage seed oil,
• 15 drops of lemon essential oil.

In the evening, apply a few drops of this mixture to your nails, then gently massage for 5 to 10 minutes until absorbed. Wipe your nails with a clean cloth to remove any excess.

⚠️ Do not use during the day, as lemon essential oil is photosensitizing.

💪 Pre-shampoo mask: Mix

• 50 ml of borage oil,
• 50 ml of jojoba oil,
• 10 drops of St. Thomas bay essential oil,
• 20 drops of cineole rosemary essential oil,
• 10 drops of vitamin E.

Apply the oil before shampooing. Gently massage into the hair and scalp. For maximum effectiveness, leave on for at least 30 minutes under a warm towel.
